Wow lots of fun had during the Autumn term, we enjoyed many autumnal walks at Ashridge, West Brook Hay and our local rugby fields. The children enjoyed finding sticks and leaves which we then compared there sizes and colours. We made marks with the sticks in mud and enjoyed crunching in the crispy leaves. 

We explored a Pudsey Bear tray counting the spoonful's of cornflakes we put in the bowls and used the Pudsey props to turn ourselves into Pudsey! The children enjoyed our fireworks rice tray looking at numbers and having fun filling and emptying different pots and bowls using different size spoons and scoops. We had a truly lovely time over Christmas, making Christmas playdoh and scenting it with mixed spice, doing lots of different Christmas crafts and exploring Christmas trays, our snowy train tray was a firm favourite!

We have started networking with another childminder which has been great for the children to meet new children and mix in a larger group. We will be making this a regular thing in the new year.

I will be emailing out my updated Safe guarding Policy, the main changes are the Hertfordshire Safeguarding Children's Board is now Hertfordshire Safeguarding Children's Partnership (HSCP) and I have also added the use of other smart/electronic devices to ensure safeguarding in the setting. I will also be emailing out my updated accident, illness and Emergencies Policy, the main change is my emergency contact in case of an emergency during working hours.
